What a year to pause and think of all the reasons to be thankful: two beautiful and healthy children, growing families and several opportunities to spend time with loved ones from Houston and El Paso, not to mention a World Series victory for the Houston Astros! While there is much to celebrate, we also are looking ahead. To us, giving thanks means giving back. Whether by participating in community service or simply ensuring that we are there to comfort and support a family member in need, giving back is a top priority for this household, and something Nicholas and I feel very strongly about teaching Sebastian and Gigi. As we dive into this year's holiday season, we will be thinking often of what we can do now, and what we can do in the future, to make our world a better place. Often, all it takes are small steps, things that can be accomplished with little more than will and idea. So, while we enjoy family, cooler weather, a few tree ornaments, some good food and holiday cheer, all four of us are going to be thinking often of how we can help in 2018, and well beyond.
