A small holiday is no less special. This year, we give thanks for the health and safety of all our friends and family. We hold on to each other and remember all the things that make today worth doing and tomorrow worth looking forward to. We looked forward to a Thanksgiving meal just with us. We missed our loved ones, but the quiet, the good weather, the good food and company made this celebration memorable. We, as I am sure most, will always remember 2020 for the bad, the frustrating, the terrifying, but also the small glimpses of good. Next year, however, we may ditch the turkey and traditional fixings for just a good meal. Maybe some Salvadorian sandwiches or some green chile enchiladas. Who knows? Something to look forward to.
