We blinked and it was October. How did this month sneak up on us so quickly and unannounced? How dare October? After all we’ve done to pre-celebrate Halloween. After Gigi chose A Nightmare Before Christmas as her first favorite movie? The truth is, we’re realizing October is and will always be a busy month. First, we celebrate Gigi’s birthday. Next, we gather our strength from all that and look forward to making the house and ourselves a little spooky. This year, it certainly was “a little.” We did the portraits and built the costumes. We got the candy and plan to celebrate with a backyard movie fest, but this year, buy the time our favorite holiday rolled in, we found ourselves just so, so exhausted. I’m sure a candy rush and a few viewings of The Exorcist will perk us right back up. Until then, happy October. In Houston, it’s a month of mild weather and sweet treats, along with some beautiful baseball! We’ll be tricking and treating along with everyone else, but right after that, I think we’re all going to hit the hay!
