HALLOWEEN NIGHT

Halloween Night 2020 was an absolute scream! Who needs trick or treating and large gatherings when you can have a howl of a night in your backyard with some socially distanced family joining in on the fun? The fall weather was cozy and crisp, the moon was full and brilliant and the many treats we prepared would be the nightmare of any pediatric dentist in practice today. We harvested green pumpkins from our very own pumpkin patch, we feasted on Yummy Mummies, Hands of Fate Chocolate Cupcakes and Hocus Hocus Potion. We sat on hay bales and watch Ghostbusters and Hocus Pocus while enjoying the warmth and crackle of a hickory fire. It was the perfect way to spend our household’s favorite holiday. The kids dressed up in their best sparkly costumes. Mom was an adorable Scarecrow and Dad was a Ghostbuster contemplating retirement to open an independent occult bookstore. Speaking of which, Nicholas realized his bookshelves are absolutely filled with spooky books. It says a lot when you tend to prepare for Halloween every second of every day. In a year filled with plenty of frights and uncertainty, it felt great to have the perfect holiday celebration — one that saw the children party until they dropped, quite literally.

Happy Halloween!
