DATE NIGHT AT XOCHI
Folks, pregnancy cravings are REAL! I've got fresh warm churros on the brain. :) We dressed up for our date night and headed over to Chef Hugo's new restaurant. It recently opened and is called, XOCHI. If you visit downtown Houston, make sure to stop by, you wont be disappointed. Thank you Alese and Rainer for the recommendation.

I was channeling Frida Kahlo, slick back hair, statement earrings and a floral dress. My dress is from ASOS, here and clutch is by Tory Burch, similar one here.
Queso del Rancho- Housemade queso de cincho, chicharrones, trio of insects (gusanos, chicatanas, chapulines), huaxmole rojo.
Barbacoa de Res de Zaachila- Braised rolled skirt steak, hoja santa, guajillo puya and costeño pepper broth, potato, carrots, masa dumplings.
Nicholas's dessert, SCOTCH. :)
Chocolate Caliente- Small pitcher of Oaxacan hot chocolate, foamed tableside, and churros.
I was one happy mama, delicious all around!
