HOW TO WEAR: NON-MATERNITY CLOTHING WHILE PREGNANT
While working on the this post I realized that I really need to find a new way to pose! LOL. Purchasing maternity clothes can be expensive and is something I desperately try to avoid. Having a few essentials help: maternity leggings, loose fitting dresses and shirts. You can see more of my maternity essentials here. Anytime I'm out shopping, I look for things I can possibly wear post pregnancy or have altered later. I put together some of my favorite outfits and a few helpful tips for shopping.
Things to keep in mind are:
- Fabric
- Silhouette
- Comfort
- Accessories
Favorite places to shop:
Stretchy fabrics and empire waist dresses are my go-to's. Shoutout to my husband who puts up with my need to document. :) Hope this helps any expecting moms!

To give any empire dress a little more shape, use a belt.
This is a bardo top paired with a skirt. I normally am a size 4/6 when I'm not pregnant. This skirt would normally fit on my waist, but, while pregnant, I just pull it up higher.
A shirt dress paired with a skinny belt to give me shape.
Strechy fabric is wonderful. It helps while your belly and little one grow.
Loose fitting dresses are also great.
Non-maternity overalls that sit right under my growing belly.

Empire dress from Anthropologie.
Non-Maternity swimsuit, again stretchy fabric is your best friend while pregnant. My shorts are also non-maternity that go right under my belly.
Maternity dress from ASOS that I can still wear post pregnancy.
