WEEKEND RECAP
Last week was rough. Sebastian came down with a stomach bug that lasted roughly six days. There were so many tears, and as parents we felt completely helpless. It's tough watching your child suffer; all you can do is try your best to soothe them and make them comfortable. This was Sebastian's first time getting sick. Tuesday morning he woke up at 2:30 a.m. with a 104.9 fever! I was so scared. Our first thought was to take him to the emergency room but, we refrained. We gave him Tylenol and took him into bed with us. That same day Nicholas took him to see his pediatrician, and she suspected salmonella. How on Earth did he possibly get salmonella!? All we could do is wait for it to pass. He developed a horrible diaper rash that lead to washing him in the sink almost every 45 minutes. A screaming, frustrated and feverish Sebastian ... the absolute worst of times for him and us. His diet consisted of dry cereal, water, Pedialyte and absolutely no dairy. By Sunday morning, Sebastian seemed to be back to his old self. He was running around, laughing and causing mischief. We are so happy to have him feeling better, and somewhat thankful he got sick before Gigi's arrival. Any suggestion for gift ideas to give to big brother Sebastian? 13 MORE DAYS!
P.S.: I discovered a website for stylish products for conscious parents called The Tot. It provides all the latest and greatest products.
