WEEKEND RECAP

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the weather; staying in this weekend was not an option. We spent the majority of it outside and even enjoyed a small picnic. Like most two-year-olds, Sebastian has a ton of energy and won't always listen. We are always looking for places to take our little guy where he can run around and play, so we headed to Bayou Bend. Thankfully, it's never crowded and there is plenty of shade. It's one of my favorite places to visit.

Nicholas and I took turns watching our son as he proceeded to run down trails, a small hill, and even into some bushes. I try my best not to be a "helicopter parent," which means he will occasionally get some scrapes. That being said, I don't want him to ever get severely hurt or disrespect anyone. People always talk about how hard parenting is. IT IS SO MUCH HARDER. There are so many tears and some days are really difficult. I just started reading Parenting with Love & Logic, recommended to me by a few parents. The first chapter alone is story after story of parents yelling, threatening, and bribing their kids to behave. That shit doesn't work! Raising children under the age of two has been the hardest thing I have ever done! THANK GOODNESS for Nicholas! Anyways enough about that...Here are some photos of us enjoying the weather. :)
