CASA ALMANZA CHRISTMAS

Christmas is here! Casa Almanza has been ABUZZ the past few days with holiday cheer. Sebastian received a special letter from Santa telling him he should expect his Lego T-Rex and Firetruck Play Doh and Gigi should expect her Baby Shark and tricycle. The magical correspondence arrived with a sweet message for Bashy: he’s been a very good boy this year and a super big brother to his sister. We are all very proud of him. After reading the letter, Bashy was rewarded with a trip to the most magical place in Westbury: Home Depot. With his mom and grandpa in tow, Bashy made sure the Casa had plenty of shoe moulding to properly accent the new bookshelves.

And they look absolutely wonderful! The books are placed, the TV is plugged in and Casa Almanza is one step closer to a complete look. It was time to celebrate. Bashy and Gi put on their finest holiday threads for a few special parties at the house. We enjoyed family, food and more dinosaurs than can fit inside Jurassic Park. The children slept on Christmas Eve full and excited to open their presents from Santa.

Considering all we did to get ready for Christmas Day, it seems a bit bittersweet. We are so happy and privileged to have our first Christmas at our new home, and as the hours tick by, we can’t help but feel that slight twinge of blue knowing that it’s almost over. We honestly hope the children had a magical time, and here’s to the first of many bright and wonderful holiday celebrations.
