BOO!
October is a busy month at Casa Almanza. In addition to Gigi’s birthday, we look forward to fall and Halloween. This month, we are celebrating each weekend by taking the kids out for a spooky-themed event. ArBOOretum 2019 did not disappoint. The kids enjoyed trick or treating on a nature walk. We learned all about the various creatures and creepy crawlies that call the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center home. We also got plenty of candy, a toy snake, a freshly decorated pumpkin and plenty of sunshine. When the kids (and parents) recovered from the morning outing, we all went out for BOOOBa tea. YumCha Boba and Bakery is a new cafe within the Bellaire Asiatown. We give the tea experience and ambiance four big stars, and we look forward to our next visit. Finally, we made our way to Trader Joes to restock on candy corn flavored popcorn, spooky cookies and apple cider. It was a packed but wickedly fun weekend. What’s on your October to-do list? Are your little monsters keeping you busy? We are looking forward for more holiday fun and trick-or-treating in our new neighborhood.
