ALL HALLOWS EVE
Huzzah! Casa Almanza traditions are in full swing during October. Sebastian, in fact, took this quite literally as we made our way to the Texas Renaissance Festival. The All Hallows Eve weekend at the RenFest did not disappoint. The weather was cool and clear, the kettle corn was hot and our little ghoulies were dressed for the occasion. Sebastian dressed as a roaring dinosaur for approximately 10 minutes, and then he threw a small tantrum and made us remove his costume. Gigi was a delightful little witch in ruby slippers. She gobbled candy and cast spells with her magic wand pencil. We still don’t know who taught her how to cast spells, so we’re just going to let that go . . . for now. This is definitely a favorite outing for the family. Grandma Lorena, Grandpa Juan and Tio Nico joined us for the day of food, drink and merriment. The costumes were creative this year, and we all had a blast. This was the dress rehearsal for the trick-or-treating extravaganza we will attend on Thursday. Considering all the sugar the children have had this month, I am confident they will be seasoned pros.
