HALLOWEEN BLOCK PARTY

Our home-ownership process was not easy. We considered several factors, most having to do with the home itself but many more having to do with area, neighborhood, nearby schools, etc. We knew deep roots were to be planted wherever we ended up purchasing. This mattered to us, our children and our families, and it’s something we stressed over . . . a lot. This is a rather long way to say, we are so glad we chose well. We had the absolute privilege to attend our very first Westbury 1 Halloween Block Party and Trick or Treat event. This is a neighborhood-organized outing that is on its 17th annual run. Families gather at the edge of Westbury District 1 for a massive street party where candy is handed out on sidewalks and driveways. It was safe, fun and the children had an absolute blast. Considering how much we love Halloween at Casa Almanza, it was the perfect way to celebrate, and all we could think of was how much we look forward to coming back next year, and the year after that and even after the children “outgrow” Halloween. We hope that never happens, because in our neighborhood, this holiday is done right.
