HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
It began with a simple request.
A coworker asked me to design an invitation for our colleague’s baby shower. So, I did what any normal person would do: I convinced my husband to purchase and download Procreate on his iPad, and then I stole his iPad. Ever since, I’ve been a drawing fiend. I draw almost every night. It’s therapeutic and allows me to express a lot of love and affection for friends, my children and my family. Basically, if you know me, you’ve seen or received a custom illustration thanks all to my recent spurt of inspiration. Thank you, baby showers.
Additionally, I am a competitive person. When I found out Sebastian’s Pre-K class was having a Valentine’s Day exchange, I knew immediately he would not show up with some store-bought cartoon character crap (like all the other kids!). I made custom cards for his class. I made a one-of-a-kind Valentine for Nicholas. And I happily gave my loved ones hand-drawn cards. This holiday is not for the card companies any more. I put a whole lotta love out this Valentine’s Day. And I’m hungry for my next project…also chocolate.
